Book Review: Niksen by Olga Mecking

Niksen:  Embracing the Dutch Art of Doing Nothing

Niksen: Embracing the Dutch Art of Doing Nothing: Mecking, Olga: 9780358395317: Amazon.com: Books

If you have read books like Digital Minimalism, Spark Joy, and the likes, then you may already know that your brain needs some space to simply DO NOTHING.  Olga did not introduce anything new to me.  She did, however, remind me that I need some white space on my calendar to do nothing.  She brought in the right balance of research, humor, whit, and life experience to remind me that it is ok to do nothing.

If your calendar is packed to the brim or you simply need a reminder to slow down and take some time to do nothing, then this is the perfect book for you. It’s on a short side but it lacks nothing..
