Book Review: Suddenly Frugal by Leah Ingram

Suddenly Frugal:  How to Live Happier & Healthier for Less

Suddenly Frugal: How to Live Happier and Healthier for Less: Ingram, Leah: 9781440501821: Amazon.com: Books

5 star book

Who this book is perfect for:  New homeowner, recent college graduate, or someone starting off their debt busting journey.  If you have been on your debt busting journey for a couple years, this book might not offer any new suggestions for you.  I do think this book is a great refresher though.  Certainly worth your time to flip through the pages.

Leah explains the myth of frugality.  I enjoyed this section the most.  Frugality doesn’t mean completely living without.  It’s more about saving money on the necessities and things that don’t mean as much to you so that you can spend money on things the bring you joy.  For me, I would rather cut back on our TV/Internet so that I can spend that money on experiences.  I would also rather pick up books from my local library so that I can again spend that money on experiences.

Have you read this book?  What did you think?  What’s your favorite frugal living book?
