Little House Living: The Make-Your-Own Guide to a Frugal, Simple, and Self-Sufficient Life
by Merissa A. Alink
Not sure about you, but I enjoy reading books where the author is totally honest. You know the one that show you a glimpse into their not to perfect life. We are are only eight and a half months into 2020 and I needed some reassurance about reality. It’s not all sunshine and roses all of the time but there are times with sunshine and roses.
This book was absolutely fantastic. If you are new on your frugal, eco friendly, minimalists adventures, then this book is FILLED with awesome recipes for food as well as health, beauty, and cleaning products. If you are not new to all of this, I’m sure you will find at least a recipe or two to try.
I saved recipes for bath salts, foaming hand soap, face masks, hair spray, non-petroleum jelly, body butter, shoe and foot spray, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, furniture polish, window cleaner, ant spray, gel air fresheners, deodorizer disks, and most importantly hot chocolate mix.
Choose happiness. Choose to be the light in the darkness. Choose to make time with your family. Choose to sell some of the things in your house that are causing you clutter-stress. Choose to make a sacrifice here and there for the sake of your ultimate goals. And choose to live the best life you possibly can, no matter what your situation. Keep on keeping on and always make the most with what you have.

Looks like an interesting book. I’ll have to put it on my reading list. Thanks for the review.

I think you would really enjoy it. It’s all about buying bulk to make several different recipes.
