Before you roll your eyes, send some hate mail, let me first explain my week.
This week has been crazy. I have been sick since last weekend with some allergy/summer cold mix that knocked me out for 4 days and is still lingering. I have been busy at work. However, I pushed myself to get all of my home errands done after work this week.
Why? Because I wanted Saturday afternoon to be boring!
I use to dispise people who had free time. If I saw my husband relaxing while I was cleaning, I could feel my blood boil and my face turn beet red. If I saw someone on Facebook enjoying their free time, it took every single part of my being to not defriend them and scream how do you do it. And don’t get me started about if I saw a Tiny Home show where the person traveled all over the country. I wanted to throw a shoe at the TV!
Now I am that person I envied, hated, dispised.
I am a working, athletic woman who is married with a furbaby and half a of household chores. And I have FREE TIME!
How? Because I chose to give up the physical clutter and mental bullshit so that I could schedule my ideal life.
And guess what? You could do it too! We both have the same 24 hours in a day.
Do you need a book to give you step by step directions? Great, read Marie Kondo’s books.
Need something a little more loose but full of motivation? Great, read Outer Order, Inner Calm by Gretchen Rubin.
Need something in between? Joshua Becker’s The Minimalist Home
