Minimalism Got me Here: A Completely Voluntary Work Uniform

Inspired and in awe of the simplicity of a work uniform, I instituted my own uniform in corporate America.

  1. Must be a dress
  2. Must be black or gray
  3. Must go with my favorite pair of black shoes
  4. Must be machine washable
  5. Must be easy to iron
  6. Must look dressy and causal
  7. Must spark joy for me because I have duplicates

Now I have a closet of winter and summer dresses. I rotate them between seasons. Pick 5 each weekend to iron. And always look put together, professional, and completely relaxed wearing my favorite dresses and shoes each day.
