Do you find yourself spending hours looking at your Facebook feed, scrolling through Twitter or Instagram, or constantly checking to see if you just got a text or email then to just wonder where the time went? Are you trying to take back that time for more mindful and meaningful activities? If so, check out Digital Minimalism by Cal Newport.
The first part of Digital Minimalism sucked me in by explaining how we became addicted and why it happened. However, the second part of the book felt like Cal was repeating himself, citing different sources that all said the same thing, all in an effort to produce a book. I literally stopped reading the book at the end of chapter 6, raised the white flag to indicate surrender, and moved on to another book.
